I like Senior Moulder’s silnylon pyramid tent for both wind and snow – IF I wanted a single wall tent for those conditions.
But with advancing geezerhood (I’m in my mid 70s now) I may be forced into that kind of shelter for its light weight. In Mid September this year I hauled a combined 55 lbs. of pack, scoped rifle and binoculars up 5,000 ft. to 8,125 ft. on a mule deer hunting trip. My tent was a TT Moment DW and it protected me very well, especially in a 7 hour, all day pouring rainstorm. I suppose a single wall pyramid tent would do about as well.
