Several month ago, Evernew decided to stop using Liberty Mountain as their USA supplier.  No new supplier has been identified and supplies are running thin.  We stocked up on Ultralight pot (as did Trail Designs) and hope that we can ride this through until a new USA distributor is identified.  Evernew has historically been poor about being managed by US Distributors.

For over a year now, Kovea also dropped their USA distributor.  I have been trying to order Spiders with zero progress.  Rumor has it that they are not interested in the backpacking market and are targeting the overland market.  Best wishes purchasing these products.

Hi Jon

You may be misunderstanding the position many outside America have taken. They don’t like Trump and refuse to pay his tariffs. This is not confined to the backpacking market by any means.

I am not sure if this is a cross thread comment.  With respect to Evernew and Kovea, this has been sourcing problem for over a year now.  Kovea has not had a stable USA representative for about 4 years now.  Evernew just does not listen to their USA distributors and the supply chain has been erratic for several years now.

Does Kovea have contract obligations with MSR?

Not that I know of.  I have worked with Kovea for about 12 years, the first 7 as was an authorized reseller.  After the USA rep left distribution was transferred to some larger resellers and then Kovea seemed to drop everyone.

That I don’t know.  They do not make anything similar.  I am pretty sure that they make the Snow Peak LiteMax as the SupaLite is an exact copy
