    but I’ve never bothered to check my pots for how quickly they cool.

    I did log the heating and cooling of my Ti pot with lid. Quite slow cooling. Mind you, I imagine the cooling might be faster at -20 C.

    You are very definitely missing out on a lot of good information!
    However, just for you:

    Blue is the temp profile for the Heat Shunt, rising while the stove was running and falling when I turned the stove off. Red is the same for the stove body. You would need to read the Heat Shunt article for more details.
    Green is for the Ti pot with 1 L of water in it and a lid on top. You can see how slowly it is cooling.

    I would add that in the time it is shown as cooling, I would probably have eaten the dinner I was cooking!

    Units in deg C and sec, I presume? Or is it deg F and min?
