Perhaps I’ve mentioned this before but here goes anyway.
I store my ESBIT tablets, both at home and on the trail, in used mylar/aluminum lined coffee bags. I use Gorilla tape to keep the bendable closure strip on the bag.
This method pretty much keeps the fishy odor of ESBIT inside the coffee bag. BUT… in bear country I still put this ESBIT bag in my bear canister because bears have the most sensitive noses of any land animal. (And because they love fish and ESBIT’s smell must be like “bear bait”.)
