Greetings my fellow backpackers! Really nice to come back to this community.
My kids grow faster than I anticipated. I have 4 as you might remember (probably not). Elder daughter is already after military service (from previous week!), elder son is preparing for his military service and two other kids at 13 and 6 train with dad’s backpacking trips. Just completed one in Pyrenees – it was a blast!
I walked the Coronallacs trail with my son – quite a strenuous hike. And took my old Evernew 1.3L with Ti-Tri and Zelph’s great Starlite stove to rehydrate meals for two of us. I realized that Dan doesn’t make these epic stoves anymore (how sad!).
So as my son will go to the army I left with 13 y.o. daughter and 6 y.o. son who obviously will “enjoy” some of my backpacking trips, but I want to reserve the right to go solo.
I like Evernew pots with larger bottom – they are more efficient in Ti-Tri. So I can’t decide between Pot+Ti-Tri combo of Evernew 600 and 900.
What you guys think? What would be better? I normally boil like ~500ml-600ml which is enough for rehydrating “on-the-go” and for a cup of tea. will 600ml pot accommodate 500ml water conveniently? I mean, I don’t want to fill it to the brim or be afraid of spilling water when I take it off the stove…
Thank you in advance!
Greg
