In a world where we feel like customer service is trying to move us along like cattle, Seek Outside’s Nathan Coleman (BPL @rockcucker30)…..  <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!!!! </span>

I did a video review on my SO Divide 4500 (link below) where I mentioned a bit about hip numbing and miscommunication with SO….. Nathan contacted me immediately and said “we need to get the hip numbing thing figured out asap, that’s not right”. And we did. He spent a ton of time helping me out, showing great knowledge, feedback, and generally bent over backwards to make sure my pack floated like cloud-9 on my back (and it does!).

As said before, I LOVE my Divide 4500 and wouldn’t hesitate for a second to buy another. Add customer service to the long list of things to love about this pack. If you’re on the fence, just do it! For a slight weight penalty, I don’t think there’s a more comfortable pack out there!

That’s good to hear.

Care to share what fixed your hip numbing problem?

The updated hipbelt with 2-way tension seems to have solved the problem. It cups my iliac crest just a tab better and distributes the top and bottom strap tension more evenly IMO. It’s now easier to make micro top/bottom adjustments on the fly too.

Nick, I put a lot of pride in comfortable load carriage with our packs, so I’m glad we got your issue figured out.  Honestly I appreciate the shout out, but I wasn’t looking for publicity, just a solution for your issue.

I echo the customer service experience above. Also love my Divide 4500

Can the new hip belt be fitted to older packs? I have an original exposure; I’ve never been able to get it to ride on my iliac so it rides lower and I also experience numbing from time to time.
