Short answer: No
Long answer as to why: I have a slinylon Duomid  and IMO and IME the stock MLD stuff sack is just right because it is large enough that the stuffed tent doesn’t turn it into a hard lump.
I am one of those who used to think that compression stuff sacks—or small stuff sacks that squeezed gear into tiny balls— were a great space saver.
In fact, these hard lumps are space wasters because they create a lot of voids inside the pack and don’t permit the items to compress naturally and use all available space. In some situations, such as when using frameless packs, the hard lumps can cause back discomfort.
Additionally, larger stuff sacks make the process easier.
So if I were stuffing tarp and net together, I would do just the opposite and get a larger stuff sack.
I too like to oversized sack.
I agree with bob. Think of the air space difference between a jar of bouncy balls (small stuff sack) and a jar of marshmallows (larger stuff sack). Â The Marshmallows can fill the entire space by being able to compress and flex while the bouncy balls creates and takes up air spaces.
What Bob and Andy said.
I don’t really use any sack for my DuoMid. Â I just cram it into the pack’s (totally mis-named) front pocket- that’s where I keep my damp stuff and the shelter is almost always damp to some degree when I pack it in the morning.
We need to pin Bob’s answer to a UL FAQ page.
+4.
Over size it.
