BA lists no R-rating for its AXL insulated mattress.

I wonder if ti is close to Thermarest’s Neo-Air X-Therm 5.7 rating. I’s like a single light mattress i could use for all seasons.

The BA AXL insulated mattress comes closest to what I like since many years ago I owned an original Neo-Air and returned it to REI due to the noise problem. Plus the BA AXL insulated is about 7 oz. lighter than the Neo-Air X-Therm.

I kinda like the REI Flash insulated mattress but I’ve read too many reports of it failing at the weld junctions.

(Grrrrrr! Why can’t we edit ORIGINAL posts?)

This is just one example of why I feel the Long Range Hunting forum format is more user friendly than BPLs. And that is a free forum…

Rated to 15 F.  No R rating.

BA pads aren’t known for durability.

Why two threads?

Give it up the software isn’t going to change for you

You’re MLife right? That was paid off years ago. BPL is free for us at this point.

In the Q&A on the REI page for the non-insulated pad REI says that BA no longer publishes R ratings, but instead uses temperature ratings.

15 for insulated, 30 for non-insulated.
