Hi, I’ve been trying to restore the DWR on a Berghaus Gortex Paxlite 2.0 using Nikiwax, so far, no good!
- I washed it with 3 caps of techwash, did so on a gentle cycle
- Then immediately washed it with 3 caps of TX direct, did so on a 60 mins cycle with spin
- Then dried it on a low heat in the tumble drier (OK to do this on the clothes label).
Is it better to handwash the TX-direct phase? I put the TX-direct detergent into the draw of the front loading machine, but wondering whether I should just throw it into the barrel with the clothes or just hand wash it to ensure that liquid is actually being used properly.
Do you just chuck the solution into the washing machine draw? or hand wash?
