Dan, I’d also be interested in the 750, with bail handle, for Esbit and/or wood fire (are the cones suitable for fires?), possibly alcohol as well, but that is a far lesser consideration for me. In ter nat ion al. ..

Dan,
Re your photo of your Jun 12, 2016 at 7:18 pm post,
that’s a nice detail (the ridgeline, which rests on the cone).
Elegant, even.
Thank you Robert, it took me quite a while to perfect the method used to create it.
Thomas, I’ll check this morning to see if I have 1 left.
I checked and I no longer have any Modified Toaks left in inventory. Last 2 are shipping out today.
When I arrive back home in the north of Illinois in April, I may start another batch of various Kits.
The cones are suitable for fires if a X shaped pot support is placed on top of the cone and also the same configuration placed under the cone to allow air to enter. Toaks makes titanium supports for burning wood.
If you start another batch, I’d like a 650 w/handles!
Okay Pete, I have a new kit I’m working on, should be ready in a week or two.
Hi Dan,
I am curious about this new kit.
Youve hinted at a straight walled cone for the toaks 900. Is this the 115mm diameter pot? I am interested in this size because it would nest inside my toaks 1360 with fissure cone. That size pot seems to be sold out from toaks and amazon now.
I had good intentions of doing the 900 but now you say they are out of stock ………bummer!
It’s the 5 1/8″ (130mm) (Dia) x 2 5/8″ (68mm)
That size is in stock. I was referring to the 115mm diameter pot that is slightly narrower and taller.
look at this link. it says sold out

Wow. I thought it was just in stock, on toaks outdoor direct as well as amazon.
I was sad to see it out of stock. The straight wall design is working well with the 2 modified pots I’ve made, one for me and one for my wife. The wide pot is easy to see what your stirring when doing real  cooking. Sight is an important part of “cooking” ;-)
The 900 can nest in TOAKS Titanium 1350ml Pot. I may get one of those to play with :-)

Why does the stove have a pot stand if the windscreen is also a pot stand? Just curious.
The windscreen is not a pot stand, it provides side to side stability while blocking the wind. The ridge on the pot adds strength to the thin titanium pot, prevents what is called “oil canning” when used for dry baking. The windscreen is made with close tolerance, touches the ridge to transfer heat to pot…think “heat exchanger”
The stove has an integrated pot support that can be removed for storage if elected to do so. A plastic lid is provided for the burner portion of the stove to retain unused fuel. The kit is very versatile.
