Hi all,

My girlfriend needs new hiking pants. Some nylon/polyester ones and could use some legging type pants.

The thing is she is 6’/6’1″ with muscular legs and a small waist so findings women’s pants that fit her is dang near impossible.

I have no idea where she should look. Any suggestions?

Menswear?

I have some Marmot snow pants in women’s xxl that fit me better than the men’s version.

European pants would fit better. Montane, Rab, Mammut, Fjallraven etc.

My wife has curves, specifically from hip to waist and many pants that fit her hips have way too much material at the waist.  Some of Eddie Bauer’s jeans and athletic pants fit her well.

Then there’s Lycra.  Leggings and stretchy running pants fit a wide range of body type.

Adding “un-hemmed” to any search will likely address the length issue.

And if she doesn’t sew, ask at any bridal shop for a recommendation on a seamstress who could hem pants and take in the waist to give her a good fit.
