If anyone is near the Santa Cruz area this coming weekend there is a great get together put on by the American Long Distance Hiking Association (West) on Saturday. Its targeted toward people interested in longer trails and lightweight hiking. Its hosted by a number of former thru hikers and has some gear vendors, raffles, lunch and lots of times for in person Q&A. Its the first one in California and should be a great time.
