Lightest long sleeve shirt/sun hoody?

I have both a OR Echo and Tern wool sun hoody. I have used both over mesh baselayers.
It works ok. O haven’t done a multi day spring trip last year, but I might consider bringing a short sleeve Brynje for that.

As a side note, I find the Brynje poly pro to be excellent for smell, on par with merino shirts. I also switched to white. The white is a bit less glaringly “nightclub” look on my white skin the black one.

  • Pata Airshed Pro: L, 112 grams
  • OR Echo XL, 133 grams
  • OV Tern (merino) XL, 168 grams

So the Pata is a size smaller, which explains part of the weight savings. That said, it fits me as well as the others, in fact the sleeves and torso might even be a hair longer.
It also has a chest pocket and chest zip, so the low weight is even more impressive.
I only got it fairly recently, so I haven’t used it much yet.

its interesting to see that the Airshed pro, with all those features is still claimed to be 1 gram lighter than Pata’s lighters sun hoody, the Cap Cool Ultra.

I might consider removing the chest pocket, to save some weight, and improve breathability.

Thanks for the quick reply!

I think I will give a try to OR Echo this season. I also found BD Alpenglow (not pro) for quite cheap so I bought one for Spring. I also ordered a white Brynje for the same reason a while back ahah.
