    Just had a fire with a group of Behavioral Health clients. They loved it.

    Regarding smoke – I was in Denali recently where a bunch of car campers were burning store bought wood. Dang it was smoky. Probably overly green wood. The bone dry stuff I burn with the kids is much more pleasant.

    there is also the times when you’re processing a 2000 lb bison in the thick of grizzly country, at night- fire is most welcome

    A 2019 estimate. Doesn’t give per capita numbers, but of course you can just divide the population by percentage carbon to get a comparison on any given country. For example, it takes roughly 48 million Chinese to produce each 1% global carbon output, 21 million Americans  and 25 million Australians. Of course the numbers aren’t precise, but the overall picture becomes evident.
