Without reading every word, I have to imagine that for videos, the image stabilization will be superior on a compact camera. I was looking at all of the current offerings, and the Canon G9x does not take as nice photos as the Panasonic Lumix lx10 or the Sony Rx100 iii, but I think it’s image stabilization is superior. We ultimately decided to go with the Panasonic, but the Canon G9x mark one for around $300 used was tempting for sure.
