Yeah, an attractive price on an desirable piece of computer hardware (I looked to see, cause having an backup for my kids online schooling would be nice), being offered on a  backpacking website by someone with no history on BPL.  And he doesn’t tell you the specs (until you ask if it is Xxxxxx?).  Isn’t that what Craigslist is for?  So you don’t have to trust someone from 1000 miles away?  Ah, but use Craigslist in your own area, and the theft victim can be looking for it.

More red flags than May Day in Moscow.

I’d like to see some photos….oh, and what’s the serial number of this computer?  Thanks.

But there’s a picture of a cute baby!

I have to add – I am a MacBook Air user.  I love it, but a large part of that is the battery life, 10-12 hours if you’re not watching video.   This came in with the 2013 model.   Battery life on the 2013 model (still current I think) essentially doubled over the 2012 model – I know this, because that’s what motivated me to buy it.  So I think there’s a huge difference in value between a 2012 machine and a post-2013 machine.

“Unfortunately this item is not intended for resale and I don’t want it back after it’s sold”

What’s that all about?

“I can provide photos and video of the items described.”

Always appreciated with this crowd. Along with all the specs.

Great find! Looks like the admin banned him, and he created another username. No wonder he has zero posts.

I do want to make a polite response to the negative feedback that I sometimes get on BPL.

I have a youtube channel about ultra lightweight backpacking with 50 videos on it; I’ve maintained the youtube channel for one year and approximately 10,000 people have watched my videos.

If somebody took me to court and tried to prove that I was a bad person and that I didn’t know anything about backpacking; they wouldn’t be able to prove it. The judge would see that I explain all kinds of interesting things about backpacking on my youtube channel. The videos all feature me; my voice; my face; and my knowledge of backpacking.

I don’t claim to be an expert, or a camping business or a professional of any kind. I’m just a regular person, camper, artist, consumer, etc.

Well you have broken the rules here again as all sales are to take place in Gear Swap, not in On the Web. I’ve reported you

“Better to observe than to be observed.” That’s all you shared on your profile?  Are you like the cop on BPL?
