Having given up on the BRS-3000T because of its many issues, some of which I experienced myself like leaking connection to the canister and the Ti potstands deforming under minimal load, I ordered a Fire Maple Wasp FMS-300T from Next Adventure for $20. It just arrived. As far as I can tell it is the same as the Hornet (though I don’t have one to compare side-by-side). 45 gm, pictures look identical, etc. Does anyone know if there is any difference, other than the name?
May 1, 2020 at 2:01 pm #3644551Just noticed this. Apparently they are the same. I wonder which name came first?
May 1, 2020 at 5:02 pm #3644586I know it as a “Wasp” perhaps the term is interchangeable in China?
May 1, 2020 at 6:53 pm #3644600Juyst curious, what is the exact distance from the tip of one arm to the tip of another arm? My Pocket Rocket 2 is 4.063″ and my BRS 300T is 2.75″. Thanks
May 1, 2020 at 7:24 pm #3644605Looks like 2.95″ (I don’t have calipers or a micrometer, just a ruler)

Wasp Huángfēng (also bumblebee)
hornet Dà huángfēng (also bumblebee)
(google translate)May 1, 2020 at 10:10 pm #3644628It’s a nice little stove. Better in the wind than the BRS.

May 2, 2020 at 7:39 am #3644644@mandarin: Which link?
May 2, 2020 at 8:57 am #3644658if you are looking for the link to Next Adventure(not sure )Â FIRE-MAPLE WASP MICRO STOVEÂ .
May 2, 2020 at 7:13 pm #3644765same thing
May 3, 2020 at 8:16 am #3644836Same thing? What does that mean?
May 3, 2020 at 11:19 am #3644869Hornet and wasp are same
May 3, 2020 at 12:39 pm #3644878I have a FMS Hornet. With my Jetboil pot riser disk, the stove-to-pot distance for the Hornet is about 1/4″ greater than the BRS-3000T stove. This isn’t optimal, but it will still work.
May 3, 2020 at 1:23 pm #3644885Sorry I didn’t understand the same thing comment, I assumed it had to do with your first comment that people didn’t understand about a link and you didn’t respond to and because people had already pointed out that the wasp and hornet were the same stoves.

Isn’t this actually better for reducing the flame quenching effect that increases CO production?
