In case you guys were wondering which is more energy dense–here are my results using the Sidewinder system from Trail Designs. I used the 12-10 stove for the ethanol combustion and the gram cracker for the Esbit combustion. As you can see, I prefer the Esbit. The gram cracker has been my go-to stove for the last 7-8 years. It is light and easy to transport in a ziploc bag. Anyway, I want to hear your thoughts. And let me know if you want to see more chemistry videos like this. Enjoy!
