A few questions related to the podcast topic today –

1. When you’ve done a thru-hike before, do you train prior, or do you “allow” yourself a few weeks on trail to adapt without specific pre-hike training?

2. In terms of resupply, do you prefer to prep carefully beforehand, or wing it when it comes to resupply, and figuring things out as you go?

We’d love to learn about your experiences with contrasting strategies like this.

I thought this was an excellent podcast.  A balanced, well thought out summary of the mental and physical issues of long-distance trekking.  My only experience is shorter treks, in the 7-day range.  This taught me a great deal about what it means to do a long-distance trek.
