Hope you all can make it, we have some very cool presentations this year with some really good ones about public lands stewardship. Gonna need some inspiration there in the context of current threats and trends.

Quick question: will those livestreams be recorded and available to watch at a later time? If so, where will they be available? Vimeo? (For us Europeans, 6 pm US MST equals 2 am.) Thanks in advance for any information on that!

    Gonna post a question here:

First off, Rex Sanders’ discussion on gear testing philosophy was great and brought a lot to the table.

    • I feel that he did not provide specific examples of products/brands that exemplify the issues he discussed. Not so much to roll a bus over anyone, but to have firm examples. We know we’re not talking about Kelty frame packs.

    • He failed to emphasize on the consumer experience and how individuals can effectively evaluate gear for their specific needs while he criticized that there was a deficit in this area.

    • What are emerging trends in gear testing, such as the use of technology (sensors, data analytics?) to assess gear performance? We’ve all seen Ryan with his humidity/moisture meters :P

Your segment may have benefited from a more balanced view that also acknowledges positive developments in the industry; ex: mentioning brands that are known for their rigorous testing protocols could provide a more nuanced perspective rather than solely indicating the lack thereof.

If this is the wrong place to put this, please let me know.
