Can anyone comment on the functionality of the optional perimeter mesh you can have on the duomid? It is 4 ounces vs. the internet which is 7.5. How does the mid function in humid conditions with the door closed with the mesh?

I used to have the perimeter mesh on Supermid, and ended up cutting it off :) During hot summer days it is insufficient, as you would often want to have a door or two open to allow more breeze in, which would not be a good idea if many bugs are around. In winter I found it unnecessary, as pitching the mid close to the ground takes care of all the bugs. Those few that find their way in make a bee line straight to the top, and out through the vent. No idea why they do it, but they do. Oh and mesh gets real dirty in winter if its muddy, and if its below zero it can freeze to the ground/snow and tear..
