Do you wear anything under your Echo Hoody (or similar)?

I wore an echo LS in the NM dessert last October. I had tan lines of my sternum strap through the shirt. I agree with UPF15. I also think uPF 15 is NOT enough!
However, i will continue to use it as my primary shirt.
Echo Sun Hoody is 15 upf-not 30-it’s right on the product page. It’s not durable either-snags and pils very easily.
Exactly Brad, even after I pointed it out earlier in the thread and it is not just posted on their website but every review and retailer states that it is UPF 15 no one wants to believe it for some reason.
But how well does the Argon breath?
Love my Patagonia Tropic Comfort II Hooded Shirt and I go days without taking it off. It dries so fast that I don’t worry if it’s wet when I get to camp. I have a TNF waffle fleece that I wear over it to bed, then sometimes also my puffy. That gets me to ~28-30F.
UPF 50 is legit.
You will need to ask OR about the new Argon collection, I was never recommending Argon as a substitute. William Chilton earlier in this thread posted a link saying that the Echo was a 30 UPF(after I posted a link to OR’s website where it states that the Echo is UPF 15) but his link was actually talking about a new product from OR called their Argon collection that was coming out in April and not the Echo. I relayed that info in a response to his post hence the posting about Argon.
I inquired with OR about the primary differences:
“Hello,
Thanks for reaching out. The main difference is that the Argon is build with a more sturdy fabric that will snag less than the Echo. One other thing is that the UPF for the Argon is 30 and the Echo has a UPF of 15.
Best,
Chad”
So there you have it…Argon is also way heavier and more durable. Prob not for me.
