Do you think SuperStraps will actually work?

Search is the magnifying glass icon in the upper left corner, left of Sections.

Just a guess, but if your backpack is actually sized and fitted correctly, it should already perform ergonomically well, rendering a retrofit like this unnecessary.  That’s my opinion, and you know what they say about opinions!

I don’t see where it does anything more (except add more weight to your shoulders) than a well fitted pack. I agree with Russ. The fancy clips, only adjust for ill fitting straps and straps that were incorrectly designed in the first place.

Mmmmm… I dunno. I’d have to actually try one on to make an accurate assessment.

I will say nothing short of helium balloons is better than a good frame and hip belt combination that fits you.

Yeah, you shouldn’t have much weight on your shoulders, anyway.

Adding weight to “lighten your load”? Seems to be for student book bag backpacks.

I don’t see how it is different from lengthening or shortening your straps.

Looks like a gimmick to me. As Greg said, I don’t see how this is different from snugging up your straps.

So I don’t see the value, and even if it did work, it would be the wrong approach. If someone is having an issue with how their pack carries weight, you’d want to either improve the design/fit or reduce the weight, rather than adding complexity and weight.

I can’t even see what they ARE! The videos flash by real quick and nothing makes any sense.
Probably best suited to carrying a pack on an escalator. Otherwise just extra weight, which we do NOT need.

Cheers

“Probably best suited to carrying a pack on an escalator”

Roger,

Thanks.

Made me laugh out loud.

“Distributes the force of your backpack on up to 5x the surface area.”  Nope.

On the surface, it looks like an “easier” way of tightening pack straps, though the wedge shape may perhaps help pull the pack snugger against one’s back. Color me dubious, but willing to be convinced…

…were it not for the promises to “relieve shoulder, back, neck, hip, knee tension immediately”, “improve your posture”, “effortlessly boost your health”, “boost concentration”, “improve memory”, “lower stress levels”, and “increase energy and happiness”.

Hard as I try to resist the urge to be instantly skeptical, this sure smells like snake oil to me.
