Hey Folks,
My new ultralight pot lid will be launching on Garage Grown Gear next week. I wanted to offer BPL members early access and a 15% discount. Use code BPL-DWG at http://www.deadwoodgear.co

The Beehive lid is an upgrade to the stock backpacking pot lid. Thermally insulating means you can lift the lid without burned fingers. It is transparent, so you can keep an eye on your heating water or cooking food, and it is half the weight of the stock Toaks lid (9g, 0.3oz)Ā It even has a notch on the perimeter to allowing you to use a pot grabber, like the Deadwood Gear Grandle, without taking off the lid.
The Beehive Lid is made from high-temperature, high-strength, food-grade polyamide plastic and is designed and tested to withstand steam, boiling water and the temperature of a metal cooking pot in use. Note, it is not flameproof and will be damaged if exposed directly to flames, but the lid is designed to sit inside of the diameter of the pot, so that this won’t happen in normal operation.
The lid is strong – easily supporting 40lbs – and durable, but it is still a piece of ultralight gear and should be treated as such – if you step on it it will break!
Compatibility: Sized to fit most pots that nest a 4oz gas cylinder including:
– Toaks 550, 650 & 750 standard and ultralight thicknesses (note: fit is snug in the standard 0.6mm wall thicknessĀ pots and if the pot is well-loved and bent out of round it may wobble a little)
– Soto 750 ultralight and Thermolite cookset
– GSI Glacier 20oz
– MSR windburner
– Jetboil 1L systems
