We will be honeymooning up in the Canadian Rockies the first two weeks of September. Looking for a 7 or 8 day hike in either Banff or Jasper, or one 3/4 day hikes in each park. Max 13-15 miles a day, but less is nice too, since it is our honeymoon… Â We will be staying at one of the lodges for 5 nights after backpacking, so any recommended day hikes are also appreciated! Thanks for the help!

Congrats on the (soon to be) wedding!
How about the guided day hike up to the Burgess Shale fossil beds just outside of Field, BC? There just isn’t a view that is less than spectacular anywhere in Yoho NP. Get the info now and get registered as soon as they open up… limited numbers and dates all season long.

If you want to see the larch trees turning color in mid-late September you could do a nice 3 day trip above Boulder Pass, visiting Boulder Lake, Merlin Lake and Redoudt Lake, depending on your route and available time. There are also options for either short or longer loops (Jones Pass, Pipestone trail, etc.) and good day hikes in the area too.
