I posted a trip report on my blog of my Backbone Trail thru hike. The trail attained National Recreation Trail status last June. The trail is approximately 67 miles and follows the ridge line of the Santa Monica Mtns in Southern CA.
Feb 23, 2017 at 6:47 pm #3452328Great hike (and trip report)! That’s right in my backyard (Calabasas). I section hiked the entire length and it is a great hike for being so close to Los Angeles.
