    Aloha y’all,

just wondering if anyone up in Washington state has made it around the mountain yet this summer? If so, how’s it looking?

Especially curious to learn about river crossings/bridges in place, any remaining snowpack (doubtful), or any sections that aren’t in NPS-level quality just yet? I’m hiking starting 9/1, and am just looking to get a comparison of conditions for this year versus previous ones.

    Mahalos,

    Wilson

Hi Wilson, check out the http://www.WTA.org website for up to date trip reports on various segments of the Wonderland Trail and other nearby trails. There’s also a good selection of recent photos of the peak from various aspects, so it’s a good way to gauge snow cover.

Just go to https://www.wta.org/go-outside/trip-reports, then select “Mount Rainier Area” and “Include entire region” on the left.
