Today I discovered a work clothing site for nylon pants and polyester shirts.

Duluth Trading Co. has five (count 'em, 5) styles of nylon pants from lightweight to 6.5 oz..
Prices are very reasonable.

All have crotch gussets and three styles have Spandex for more stretch.

I'm getting a pair with Spandex, likely in the 4+ oz. weight.

Either I'm misunderstanding your post (always high degree of likelihood), or I think it's possible you're confusing weight of the nylon with weight of the pants. I don't think any of the pants weigh 6.5 oz or less.

Eric, I think they are taking about the fabric weight, like 6.5oz per square yard. The lighter nylon track "warm up" pants are about 6oz. The SUL "dance pants" I found are 3.5oz and very thin.

Duluth makes good stuff, but will never be called UL I'm afraid. My guess is 12-16oz finished, maybe more.

I quit buying from them. Quality is mediocre, and the fit is always weird on me. Yeah definitely not lightweight in the least. Think Carhartt.

Yep, I was quoting oz./sq. yard, not the total weight of the pants.
The link shows cotton as well as nylon pants but you can use the site's search for nylon only pants.

Given the quality of other Duluth products I've ordered I'd bet these pants are also high quality.

Just thought I'd post in case some here had not seen this company's site.

I've been looking at their quick dry nylon pants for a while and should just quit pussyfooting and order a pair.

Only product of their's I own is their nylon/spandex t shirts. David Thomas recommended it to me when I was looking for a backpacking t shirt. I liked it so much that I bought five more for work.

Besides, worn weight really doesn't count or matter.
