First time setting up the notch was in the field. Not a perfect pitch, but its certainly not hard like some people make it out to be.
This was the first of only two times using it, the second I forgot trekking poles and had to use sticks.

I like the relatively small footprint.

A couple of Moments (DW & SW) and a small gaggle of trail beers in a backcountry cooler on the Kungsleden in Sweden.
NASA didn't want you to see the real photo from the 2004 Mars Rover landing site but we filed a Freedom of Information Act Request and, after 10 years of furious legal struggles, it was finally approved.
Please excuse the loose pitch I couldn't get the stakes into the hard gravel road base and had to use rocks to hold the stakes down. Despite this, this tent is remarkably easy to pitch. I did miss the ease of pitching a traditional tent inner only as the stars were fantastic on this trip. I think I will still likely get a Copper Spur UL2 for those trips where the weather is likely to be nice and of course when a second person were coming along.
