From above. "On a recent back-porch test outside my home in Montana, with 16 oz of 35 deg F water in a 0.6-L titanium pot, 40 deg F outside temperature, and 1 mph of wind, I was unable to bring the water to a rolling boil before the 14g Esbit cube burned out." Had to add a windscreen to pass this test.

So it's incomplete without a separate windscreen. Now you are up to four pieces. Damage or lose one, well then you're in trouble. Advantage clearly goes to the cone system. Only two pieces, stove and cone. Fits in the pot.

Pretty intrusive.

At least someone else thinks so as well.
My first post was deleted.

So let me get this straight. BPL shoves crap like this image down our throats on a daily basis and apparently that's not a problem. Greg takes a screen shot of the image from BPL and then shares it and his response is deleted… why?

Seeing that the ad Greg took a screen shot of and shared above shows up any time I access BPL from a device I don't have an Ad block plug in working on, I'd say the image isn't thread drift on any topic. There's obviously a problem with the arrangement BPL made with Google as the other forums I haunt, the advertisements are germane to the website.

Her name is Lucy. Or this is what I call her as I see her every time I come to BPL, LOL.

Was wondering why BPL posts have become so scatterbrained.
Then this thread prompted going to another browser to see the ads.

Poor judgement on the part of the idiot who deleted the posting.

Cheers

"Nice way to refer to your collaborators Roger."

Methinks he's referring to himself, actually. His sense of humor would seem to indicate so, anyway.

Greg: thanks for bringing it to our attention.

If you see ads that aren't suitable for your family members, please file a support ticket and let us know what the ad's URL is that's either on the ad, or the destination URL, take a screenshot, and attach it to the ticket.

I'll happily block them.

I've now blocked this particular advertiser's URL from showing ads @ BPL.

What did I miss?

A woman named Lucy who is into cuben fiber lingerie and love backpacking AND wants to be my sugar momma to buy me MORE ultralight gear in exchange for my "company"….

Now that I am single, I approve of more ads like this on BPL. :)

Christopher,

Awesome….I think that I am in love! :)

Yeah, not really something that should be on BPL, but pretty funny.
