Ed,
Great report. I really enjoyed it.
Worth the wait. Great report. Thanks Ed.
Thanks Ed! That was a great read! Pictures are excellent. I hiked a bunch of the CT in 2013 as well including the Collegiate West. What dates were you on the trail?
Eric
I started early/mid-July and finished with a week/10 days of August to go.
Nice job. Thank you for sharing.
Two thumbs up!
+1 what Michael L said, so make that three thumbs up.
Really enjoyed that report and the photos are fantastic.
Really enjoyed viewing a few times.
Great photos! If I can ask, what camera did you use?
Very interesting read and timely, I'm headed that way in 2015.
I found the writing style very entertaining as well.
Pics, fantastic!
Kevin – enjoy – pretty sure you will.
George I use a Ricoh GX200 at the moment.
Nice.. having done the Long Trail already.. JMT and CT are on the triple gem list of things to do..
I would guess that the 65yr old AT hiker i did 100mi with would have similar things to say about young Matt.
I had the same thoughts as you at the end of LT.. yay we're done… but i'd like to keep going.
Great TR Ed! I'm one of those who can never have enough pictures. Like those "Wassup Trail Dawg?" gaiters you were rockin'. Love the steak and eggs special at the Cuthroat. One minor correction: That hut is Janet's Cabin and is part of the Summit Huts Association, not the 10th Mtn Huts. You did pass close (1.5 miles?) to the 10th Mtn Division Hut (the actual hut as opposed to the system of huts) but you can't see the hut from the trail.
Glad you enjoyed your trip and time in Colorado!
Great report Ed and I love the humor. Probable the most enjoyable report I've read of the CT.
Thanks again for the comments.
Randy – Thanks for the correction – I knew it was called Janet's Hut….but even with the open guide book by my side as I wrote up the trip I still missed it!
lovely. Thanks for sharing.
Worth every second…
Great nature pictures. I really felt those frozen mornings.
Thanks a lot for sharing.
