Thanks for the info Doug. I rather dislike when companies won't tell you more specifics about stuff like that. No way of gauging how long it will last, how effective it will be etc without extensive experience.

Interesting Peter, just checked them out. They use "Icefil" technology… If i were a betting man, i would say that is Xylitol.
It has both antimicrobial properties, and more over it will actually significantly lower the surface temps of the fabric it is embedded in when moisture becomes involved.
I bought a pair of Columbia nylon hiking pants with this kind of treatment, they work pretty well and do feel rather cool when wet. Probably not a good thing in very cold weather though.
For cold weather, those 120 Rab MeCo boxers look like they would be pretty good, but definitely expensive and won't last as long as most of the recommendations here.
Thanks Doug, was looking for new sport boxer briefs to try, may give the Adidas Climacool a shot. Only downside to me is the loud branding. Wish they had a women's version for the Ms.
Hi
as mentioned earlier in this thread look for Terramar High Performance Mesh
boxers at STP
I own Exofficio and Terramar and find later to be more comfortable and very breathable.
Far more to Exofficio…the stink factor is about the same:)
And at 10$ per pair with 35% off (coupone code) they are dead cheap.
Cheers

I've always jogged* in lycra shorts because I like to keep the boys close. These are the first boxer briefs that I like jogging in – they're that good at not feeling wet even when they are, and they're quite comfortable. As you can tell, I really like these.
(*I say jogged, because anyone who's met me knows I couldn't run without hitting myself in the face with my navel. And that hurts.)
For me, the cut, the fabric and the incredible anti-microbial qualities of the Give-N-Go boxers are unbeatable so far. I would be interested to try some Rohan boxers, but I am so used to the Exofficio ones now that I think I would find it hard to switch to anything else.
These are very comfortable and light around town. Haven't used them for backpacking but I don't see why they wouldn't work well (also have odor control):
