If you need a backup battery, something along the lines of this may be a good option: http://www.amazon.com/Astro-Ultra-Compact-Lipstick-Sized-Technology-Smartphones/dp/B005X1Y7I2/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1410468320&sr=8-12&keywords=battery+usb

It's 2.7oz, and 3200mAh should translate to a little more than one full charge on the new iPhone 6 (from the specs I could find online). I carried a lightly higher capacity version (5000 mAh) on a recent trip to Yosemite and it definitely served me well.

T-mobile is in fact pushing the envelope and has caused AT&T to drop pricing recently as well for new customers. They have for existing customers as well but you have to call them and ask for it or log on and change your plan…it doesn't happen automatically.

A market is efficient only if customers have knowledge of the choices they have… most are unaware, but that is changing. Frankly Also, US market is harder for competitors to enter. Thank goodness the ATT/T Mobile merger was stopped or this would not be happening.

Seems like it would be a very simple software fix to allow an iphone to operate like my S3 does..turn on airplane mode, then turn the GPS antenna back on. I think I'll send Tim Cook an email…
