Don’t shoot me – quick question on tarp stakes

So I read through all of these comments last night and decided that since I was ordering some stuff from Lawson already, I might as well try a few of his stakes. And, since I live near one REI and work near another one it's super easy for me to pick up a few MSRs and try them out. I canceled the knockoffs I was going to order from Amazon as well.

Quick answer-Groundhogs hold great, but kill your hands driving them in and pulling them out. Shepherd hooks dont hold as well, but are light as can be. Bent a few, lost a few. Ruta Locura are my faves by a long shot. If you get ti hooks, paint them with bright nail polish. You can drop one at your feet and spend 30 minutes trying to find it. A headlamp is no help-these things have some kind of invisibility super power!
