BOGUS WATERPROOF CLAIMS BY BOOT COMPANIES

As with WPB shell clothing GTX lined boots need maintenance.

1. Rinse the inside of the boots regularly by filling them with warm water and rinsing them thoroughly. Let them dry slowly without using high heat.

2. After the boots are clean and dry inside and out remove the laces and spray them with a good DWR spray like REVIVEX. You can use NikWax on the leather areas afterwards.

This should work until the GTX membrane has worn through in the high pressure areas.
