update on alky stoves on the JMT

Jon, did you use alcohol stove and esbit stove at this years GGG gathering while there was a fire ban in effect?

Out of curiosity, how do the resupply points (Reds, VVR, MTR) sell alcohol fuel? Do they only have large quantities or is it, as I read somewhere on this forum, for sale by the ounce as at MTR?

MTR, is sold by the ounce. One Dollar per.

Wow. That's about the same price as Esbit tablets.

VVR told me 45 cents/oz. So a bit cheaper. I guess that's where I'll stock up ;)
