I sit at a computer all day. I play on the computer (web surfing) in the evening. Lots of sitting. Far too much sitting. Especially after recently reading the report on the research showing not only just how bad it is to sit all day, but how exercise doesn't seem to counter the effects of prolonged sitting.

So I bought a treadmill desk. It was delivered this morning. Using it now. Pretty interesting. I can touch type on it pretty well, though it'll take a bit of getting used to as I learn to smoothen out my stride.

Very nice Doug,

The company I work for are moving 400 of us poor minions in to a new building and decided everyone will get an extdendable desk we can either sit or stand at.

Oh, the excitement.

Running in place (and getting nowhere) takes on a whole new meaning.

Stephan — you are so lucky. We still have to sit, but we get the choice to either sit or stand elsewhere…

That begs for a pedal rig with a generator.

As to positions in cube life, bending over seems to be more the norm :)
