The first sleeping bag hammock???

For now, I want to table the fact that this product looks severely flawed in so many ways (it's 29" wide for crying out loud!), just so I can instead simply revel in the hilarity that is the kickstarter video and campaign page associated with it.

I'm on my 4th viewing of this kickstarter video, and I have to say, it gets better everytime.

It is so perfect on so many levels. Just watch it. Like seriously it's super exciting.

The page is great too. Just to give you an idea about the important product information being relayed, here is the caption for one of the pictures:
"Julia and Lance. Madly in love. Getting Married during this project. We are super excited to journey through life together."

The hastily taken photographs of prototype drawings in a notebook (hand included) are pretty priceless as well.

This is the kickstarter campaign that keeps on giving.

Sleeping under PU coated polyester should be super exciting. And muggy.

It's like a hipster and gram weenie had a baby. A severely flawed, unusable baby.

It's amazing that they have as much funding as they do, just wow.

Once you have a fit young girl as the designer and model of the product you don't have to worry about the whole "good idea/ bad idea" part of the campaign.

That's rule #1 of Kickstarter.

Certainly not the first and they are clueless to hammock hang geometry, fabrics, insulation, hardware, you name it.

Super seriously, you should seriously give them money to make this super seriously flawed hammock/bag seriousness…and then they'll start a Kickstarter to push out a super serious baby hammock after they push out a few of their own. Those kids are going to be super seriously cute. …..I feel really bad for anyone that donated to this…seriously.

possibly the reason why you don't see many of them around.
That is many hammocks not Carabinieri, there are plenty of them, except for , of course, when you need them.
BTW, carabiniere is singular but you need two so carabinieri (plural)

The girl is the creative force for the hammock they mention. The hand drawn designs remind me of the movie Bottle Rocket in the opening where the character Dignon has hand drawn life plans in a spiral notebook. I think they will be seriously happy together. I wish them well.

The Bison Bag people are over a 105% funded and they are super excited about it and are probably married now to boot! I wonder if they are honeymooning using Bison Bags?

Skipping the obvious, and well-deserved, sarcasm, I really don't see the advantage of marrying a hammock with insulation. It means that to camp at a temperature outside the range of the hammock you have to buy a whole new hammock/insulation combo. That's a waste of money. Plus, you can only use the insulation in the hammock. A regular bag can be used with a hammock *or* tent, plus you can switch between down or synthetic depending on conditions.

Really, why bother?

It will appeal to the ones that spend a night out at a time maybe a few times a year.
