I'm close to pulling the trigger on a Montbell Mirage and have read a variety of threads about the sizing. I'm a 41" chest and a 31" waist and using the Montbell size guide I should choose a large. However, based on what I've read the Mirage is sized generously as an outer layer, so I'm wondering if I can get by with a medium. I'm purchasing online and hope to get it right the first time. Any thoughts?
I say a Medium would be fine, I tried on a friends medium and at 36" waist and 42"chest it fit will well but went to a Large for layering.
when in doubt, buy both & return one. costs you $10 to be sure.
