Backcountry Hadron Down Full Zip Jacket
in their outlet at $101
in all sizes and decent colors

this jacket is both lighter @ 7oz and cheaper than the Montbell UL Jacket
w/ the same 2oz of fill…although a notch above at 850FP
it even beats the MB by having an internal chest pocket.
One reviewer liked it better than his WM Flash.

the Anorak version has been rather hyped on BPL,
yet I've not heard one peep on this [no-hood] model.
Anyone have a report?

One o the best LW puffy deals i have seen.

I recently ordered/received the hoodless jacket. While I can't provide any comparison to the MB UL, I can say that this jacket has been holding it's own through a Wisconsin spring. Really light, quite warm, and all-around a great option.

Just ordered one, so will report back in a few days with observations. Anyone have a stab at where would fall, warmth-wise, relative to an 80/60 Coreloft Arcteryx Nuclei?

Speaking of which, and apologies for thread drift, but if Santa Richard is listening, all I want for May Day is a new version of the venerable green New Paradigm chart, updated to include today's hits like the Ghost Whisperer, Nuclei, Strata/Tango, Pata UL Down Hoody, Montbell Plasma, etc.

will, i swear you are in my head.

i have a nuclei and love it. best fitting hood arcteryx makes. would be perfect if the sleeves were shorter though.

very interested to see how the new jackets stack up. richard's research is invaluable.
