Smartwool Shadow hoodie available

Brett – I called Chris Daniels of BAP to place my order on 8/15/07. My size L was delivered within one week.

it took a while and afew e-mails but i finally got mine from BAP, you could give them a call or e-mail Chris directly.
I live in Europe so all my communication with BAP was through e-mail, the Hoody was delivered at a US adress.

I still haven't seen mine….so i don't now how the color works out but at least i got one.

Does anyone make a synthetic hoody that is thinner than the Patagonia R1?

From my understanding, getting thinner than R1 basically puts you into synthetic fabrics (the wild things is probably of similar thickness)… patagonia made a Cap 4 Hoody for women… don't know of any others. googling polyester hoody didn't get me anyplace…

since most hoody mfrs presume you're going to be using it to some extent for insulation, I doubt they're making a hoody that thin. You might be better off with a syntheic shirt and backlava combo.

Bill-The Patagonia R1 Hoody is the thinnest base layer synthetic at .080".

Joshua – The Wild Things Hoody is .130".

out of curiosity, how are you measuring that, by calipers? how much would something like smartwool midweight be?

Johnathon-I use a Electronic Digital Thickness Gauge. It has a wide moveable foot to allow for the uneveness of the fabric surface.

I measured three Merino wool garments that I own. The light-weight Smartwool ZIP T is .035"; the Smartwool versa-weight (mid-weight) Hoody is .045"; and the heavy-weight Ibex Shak Hoody is .080".
