I've always wanted a wind screen that could work with esbit, alcohol and wood.

My Toaks 900 is a big enough platform to burn wood for a personal fire to keep warm.

I may be a SUL junkie but I enjoy a larger pot for cooking.

I ended up with a design that works off of Flat Cat Gears systems (1.8") burn distance from the ground up.
I will use the ALPHA kit and the Cat-Ion stove.
I also wanted it efficient enough to boil 2+ cups of water without needing to add another esbit or more fuel.

Well here it is in both modes. All inclusive and only 5.2 ounces with the cook systems and 2 stakes.

lean and mean, I see a lot of interesting/practical details …

* I think a keith titanium plate at the bottom is more practical
(especially in a dry forest )
* You should consider to have the opening closer to ground.

This is my approach for larger pots
