My wife and I just returned from the Canyon from a 5 day 4 night trip. It's a great time of year to visit as weather is similar to a Northern Michigan Sep or Oct, no snow on the trails, and you have your choice of absolutely anywhere in the park with nothing full. We even made a last-minute permit change day of start and was no issue at all. I mainly use facebook so this link will suffice but if you have any trouble let me know.
Thanks for looking. WOuld highly recommend this trip. The captions explain most everything.

Absolutely stunning photos, and very unusual weather conditions! I've been there in Spring, Summer, and Fall, but not in winter — your report has me questioning that!

What camera did you use? The colors are amazing!

Photos were shot on a Panasonic DMC-LX3 as well as a GoPro. The panasonic actually gives poor color-not sure if I have a white balance setting wrong or what; but all are edited in Picasa afterwards. I just keep the edits natural to what I actually saw.

Looks like it was an awesome trip. I especially liked the long views of the red, sun-lit, cloud-shrouded cliffs!

What are those "red boxes" in the photo above Black Bridge…anchors for the bridge cables?

yes, those are concrete anchors painted to blend in. There's actually alot of infrastructure in the bottom and everything is well done to blend in, be non-glare, etc.
