I was thinking of getting this Avex brazos stainless steel as I want something to keep cold for a long time and something that is not too big.

24 oz seem right, and they claim 20 hours cold, has anyone tried this and does it work as well as they say? I am attracted to the one handed feature for drinking and the fact that the bottle doesn't have a straw. Any input would be great. Thanks.

I don't have any experience with this bottle, but I've looked for this kind of bottle before and gave up because it was impossible to find the weight for any of the options. I'm reluctant to invest in something that I intend to take hiking if I don't know the weight.

"it was impossible to find the weight for any of the options."

That is typically a sign that it is not lightweight enough for a backpacker.

Good point. The weight is not listed on their Web site but I did manage to find it on Amazon 13.3 oz. I mostly do day trips so this is OK for me, but would be too much for overnights with tent, sleeping bag and the rest of the supplies.

Actually the Brazos is listed at 13.3 oz. in that above link.

I believe Hendrik did a review of some thermos a while back.
