Is anyone else troubled by this?
I am getting frustrated about paying to have such a slow website and forum.
When I go to other sites backpacking.net/bbs it is much faster?
Traffic?
Or do we need an upgrade in the server?

Alan, For what it is worth, the site is working just fine on my end. Brian
Huh- works great for me. Sometimes when opening a large doc on BPL while running my music server and listening to tunes or downloading can cause a very slight delay (mainly with images) but typically it's instantaneous.
I'm running a reasonably fast machine with fast cable…
At work I'm on a slow machine with a T1. That's a little slower but still not bad.

no problems on my end and I have a very fast machine with broadband cable
No problem at all browsing BPL's website with my Dell laptop (4-5 years old) and wireless broadband, even with numerous additional programs running in the background.
