In need of advice on purchasing a tent, backpack, sleeping bag, and sleeping pad.

Hello,

I am in search of:

1 man tent

65 L pack

30 degree bag

sleeping pad

The problem that I have come along while doing research when deciding I'd like to upgrade all my gear is balancing price with performance. For instance, is the lighter fly creek tent worth the extra $150 over the rei tent that only weigs 1.5 pounds more. I understand the ounces are ounces, and they add up, but generally you pay a premium for lightweight, but is the premium worth all the extra cash?

Any advice or specific models to look at would be much appreciated.
