I think with that equipment and battery weights a team is the only way to go.
And the team would need to be UL equipped or close to it to share the gear of the "GOOGLE mule".

But if GOOGLE pays, say, $25./ hour some of us retired guys might be interested…

This would work for pack animals. I'm not sure why Google hasn't thought of it.

This is how trails are maintained ANYWAY. Just donate some $$ to the park service and ask them to carry it… it's not like trails change THAT often and the parks NEED the money. :) … win/win.

SEE? As I said before, drone huntinmg will become a sport. Those Coloradans are wising up early.

Drones are far less expensive than helicopters to deploy and so small that they are difficult to spot. Thus they will be tempting for local and state law enforcement to use – not to mention the Feds.

Can't wait 'til we read about the first drone to be shot down. Perhaps the new $24,000. "Tracking Point" smart gun will be just the weapon for well-heeled drone hunters. Once the target is lased it won't fire until it is exactly on target again. Thus gun gives an 80% hit possibility at 500 meters. Notta too bad.
