Turning an Inline Sawyer into more of a Squeeze?

I'm thinking of doing something different, but along the same lines. I noticed that the hose for my 3-liter platy can screw into a Coke Zero bottle. As long as it's screwed tightly, there's not leakage. I might chop down the platy hose and rig my own Sawyer Squeeze with my existing Sawyer in-line. I'd use two plastic bottles instead of a bladder. Theoretically, this would way less than the bladder and extra "clean" soft platy bottle (for Gatorade and whatnot at camp) I carry.

Too bad I bought the in-line right before the Squeeze was released.

Evernew water carry fits the Sawyer and stands up to being squeezed. Comes with a cap.

I don't think it fits the Sawyer Inline.

Use the inline adapter for the Squeeze filter as your hose connection on the bottle end?

That is what I am thinking but does that adapater screw onto the Sawyer bags?

So you are confirming that they fit onto an Evernew? Great if that is true. Bad in the fact that Evernew bladders are like unicorns anymore. They should fit onto the new Sawyer bladders also but I would like to try and get a confirmation if possible. Great if they work! Of course I would only need one and it would look a bit odd and bee a few ounces over the Squeeze but cost me much less for rigging it.

Righteous, I have a plan now to reuse old equipment that is still totally viable. Like Ryan's recent SUL articles. Going so save about $40 then and cut off about 8 oz. Thanks1

I have thought about this, but the Sawyer squeeze has a larger opening for the bag to attach to which almost certainly results in a faster flow rate. I'm not sure the in-line with the smaller tube would work as well. But try it and let us know!
