So I've read a couple of the threads on dyeing ULA packs and I think I'm going to give it a go on my Circuit. I need some color wheel help. Really, I'd like a royal blue color, but I'm not sure that's in the cards considering the original green color the pack is. So, to get as close to that color as I can would I be better off using a navy blue or a royal blue colored dye? Or would I want a lighter blue since the green pack is a little darker?
To cover the green I would guess you would be limited to navy, dark grey to charcoal black as finished colors. Going lighter is of course not an option. Bright colors attempts like red or brighter blues I don't think will work out. The Rit dye site gives some insight as to what is possible and what is not.

Ken is probably right about the colors. I would go for a dark gray versus the other options.
I guess a guy can dream of a bright blue ULA pack…:) I think I'll shoot for navy and go black if I don't like it. Reading reviews a lot of people complained that the navy blue rit dye comes out decidedly purple. If that's the case, would I be better off using a different blue so as to avoid it coming out a muddy color? I vaguely remember learning at some point that purple and green make a muddyish brown color.
Yes.
Purple = red + blue
Green = yellow + blue
blue + red + yellow = brown
