I joined BPL almost three years ago and used my e-mail address as my username when signing up. I only recently started posting on the forum and now my e-mail is openly displayed with every post.

Almost a month ago (april 8) I submitted a support issue (BTK13040813501) to request a username change. Unfortunately I still haven't received an answer.

Can somebody please change my username to LFone?

I opened a ticket a month ago with my old and new username. Ticket number is BTK13040813501.

Your only recourse is through the support ticket. No members can change your name.

There is no real customer support.

I understand that no member can change my username.

I'm posting this hoping that somebody from support will actually read my ticket.

Nobody from Admin reads this forum. Your time is wasted here in my experience. File a second ticket. I'd file one every day until it was resolved.

Really lame, I know.

I went through what you are. I opened a thread just like you. Took over a month.

This is what I did to leave out my last name. Not sure if you tried this, but it has the email address there as well. I bet if you delete your email address, perhaps it won't show up on the forum. Directions from my personal account; You have to go up to the top right corner under My BPL and then account. I hope this works. Just remember to replace it when/if you renew.

How to change your forum display name: Your forum display name is the primary name associated with your account. To change your forum display name, hover over the My BPL menu (upper right) and navigate to My Account > Change My Billing and Shipping Address. Then, change the First and Last Names under your Primary Address.

My name is T-Funk.

But it's not.

My ticket to change it was ignored.

I'll take your e-mail address if you don't want it anymore.

Yo, dawg. You can't fake the funk. Take it from me: keep cool and stay in school. Peace.

@Donna: Thanks, unfortunately you can change everything except your username. And unfortunately your username is always displayed below your forum display name. Changing my e-mail doesn't affect this…

This is truly hopeless…

– I opened several support tickets in the past six weeks. "Support inquiries will normally be answered within 24 hours during the business week." No response.
– PM'd Addie Bedford. No response since she's on maternity leave (congratulations! :-)
– Maia is replacing her but doesn't have PM set up.
– PM'd Roger Caffin since he's one of the few staff members who does have PM set up. Unfortunately he couldn't help me but told met to e-mail Ryan Jordan.
– E-mailed Ryan Jordan. No response.

But hey, at least the payment system for my subscription works!

as long as they can take our money it must be working correctly…

I believe the solution is simple.

Make support tickets cost Money.
Put money in escrow until ticket resolved.

Voila, incentive to care about customer requests !

"Changing my e-mail doesn't affect this…"

I meant a new email addy for your email use — and let the one shown here die a slow death…

I agree with Ben; changing your email address is probably the best way. The alternative is several dozen emails and maybe a like number of USnail Mail letters to Ryan Jordan in hope he might possibly read one of them. It's a mess, but less so than having your email broadcast to the whole world.

They were able to resolve my ticket within a month but I had to exchange a couple emails with Ryan to fix it. It's too bad that they are taking so long with yours. The good news is that when they finally resolved my ticket, my user name was changed in all of my old posts as well.

Good luck.

Any suggestions for getting in contact with someone for a username change? Two support tickets and a month later I've received no response. They were assigned to Addie Bedford who hasn't posted in over a year. Is there an email address I could send a message to?

Looks like you're gonna have to drive to Bozeman with the muscle and get these things sorted out.
